East Caicos climate - any danger?

For East Caicos climate there is always a danger of a hurricane bearing down on the Island. The hurricane tracks are far of East Caicos but winds can take them anywhere.

Although East Caicos is better adapted to dealing with hurricanes because its people have become used to them and are more aware of their impact. And there are places of substantial elevation.

As part of risk assessment, a computer programme has been devised to “fast forward” time and look at the likelihood of hurricanes of various strengths following historical tracks across the globe.

So tourism is full protected and you can safetly plan your trip.

East Caicos climate - a reason to plan your trip now

Constant trade winds keep life comfortable in the Islands, with the coolest months averaging 70 degrees in the winter and 90 degrees during the summer. It doesn't rain much here, so be sure to bring plenty of high factor sun cream.Island life is informal and most restaurants are casual, but a few insist on more formal wear in the evenings. East Caicos despite its size is completely uninhabited, with no plans at this time for development. There is a 17-mile stretch of pristine deserted beach on the north coast. Turks and Caicos weather is almost "rain-free!" Rain generally passes through quickly and it's rare to get a string of cloudy days. Typically, rain showers are so short and light that it's hardly an interruption to any activities. The majority of rainfall occurs from late September through December with November and December having the highest totals. Averages vary between the islands as well. Hurricanes are a part of the Turks and Caicos weather pattern, however statistically they do not hit here as much as more southern Caribbean islands. In fact, no hurricane has made land fall in the Turks and Caicos Islands for 20 years. Historically the average is about one every nine years. Hurricanes can happen any time of year, but hurricane season is typically considered to last from June to November with August and September being the peak months.
